A Little Switcheroo

Way back when, what seems like forever ago; Audrey was ready to graduate from her toddler bed to her first official twin-size, big girl bed. I remember how tiny she looked in that bed the first night she slept there. We didn't go with anything too fancy. Just a white wooden bed that had drawers below for storage (because if you know me then you know that I'm obsessed with storage). We also got the headboard to go with it to give her, well, more storage in the form of shelves. It was simple but cute and she has loved it ever since.

Unfortunately, we hadn't had the bed too long when we noticed a problem. The knobs to the drawers started falling out. No matter how many times we would screw them back in and tighten them, they would always end up on the ground. This picture shows the last remaining knob left -- one of six that happened to hang on for dear life.

So, we decided that for Christmas this year; some new knobs were in order. Thanks to Grandma, Audrey's bed is sporting a whole new look.

So girly and fancy! Definitely right up her alley!

If you ever want to update a piece of furniture and give it a more polished look, new knobs are definitely the way to go. Inexpensive and easy but definitely capable of making a big impact. These knobs are from Hobby Lobby. They often have them for 50% off, which is amazing. Plus, they have a decent selection to choose from. Just a quick tip for ya! I'll be back later this week to share a long awaited DIY lighting project. Until then...have a great week!
